He’s an urban poet with a niche for resilience. Each track breathes authenticity and is a reminder to all that anyone can prevail in the face of adversity. 

After serving nearly a decade in federal prison for conspiracy drug charges, MP was determined to deliver a dream deferred. He learned to transform his hustle and avoid the pitfalls of the streets.

In 2020, he launched Live Struggle Legacy - a tribute to Timothy “Big Baby” Lewis who lost his life behind bars, as a result of a negligent prison healthcare system. Live Struggle Legacy is a platform for artists with the mission of shedding light on injustice while inspiring positive change.

Raised in the heart of St. Petersburg, Florida’s south side, MP’s journey was fraught with challenges. Growing up with his father behind bars, he found role models among local drug dealers.

MP’s mother worked at local concert venues, introducing him to a wide array of live music genres, aiming to provide a positive outlet and steer him clear of the streets. Music soon evolved into an obsession, a refuge from the surrounding crime and addiction.
