Jeff Korb

I found myself listening to songs and wondering how to put myself in the mindset of thesongwriter," he says. "I wanted to think the way they were thinking and understand theircreative process.

I wanted to take that knowledge and apply it to the ideas I had. It made mesuch a better musician.

I stopped being concerned as a guitar player about how fast I could playa few licks in a guitar solo and focused on creating music and songs people wanted to hear.

That was when I stopped being a guy that could play guitar and became a musician that plays guitar."

Florida guitarist/songwriter, Jeff Korb, laments he learned to play guitar in the mid/late 80s whenit was more of a full-contact sport and art form of the time.

He jokingly reflects, that his favoritesongs were ranked by which ones had the coolest solos.

A detour from music into a banking career (life happens) brought Korb a new outlook.

Stepping back from seriously playing music for so long and just listening and enjoying, created anenvironment where I was hearing songs with a completely different ear.

It took me back toplaying guitar to then writing songs and finally pushing forth with a new band."
